Roars, S'mores, and Snores Campout

New Date Coming Soon, 6:00 p.m. - 9: 30 a.m.

Join us for a night of mysteries at the zoo! Learn about the secret nocturnal nightlife of our animals. We will spend the night solving mysteries, escaping a lobe of the zoo, playing trivia games, and telling stories by the campfire while roasting s'mores.

Bring your own tent and don't miss out! Camp setup begins at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening and the adventure continues until 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Zoo admission for Sunday is included for those who purchase non-member tickets only. Groups must include 1 adult for every 8 minors (under 18 years of age).

Bring your group for a wild sleepover at Zoo Miami! Go on an adventurous night experience through the zoo at night seeing what animals are awake and prowling the night. Our sleepovers are a great experience as they are both fun and educational whether it’s a birthday party, scout event, school trip, or any other group event.

Included in your overnight experience is:

• Pizza dinner

• Night hike – See what animals are awake at night!

• Animal encounter – Experience an up close encounter with a couple animal ambassadors

• Creating an animal enrichment – What is enrichment? It is an activity that provides physical and mental stimulation to an animal, bringing out its natural behaviors (ex: creating a fake cardboard zebra that goes to our African lions!). Create an enrichment for an animal ambassador and we will send you footage of them using it!

• Breakfast

The cost of an overnight experience is $60/person with a 20-person minimum. The maximum capacity is 50 people. Accommodations are within our air-conditioned classrooms with a 10% non-refundable deposit required to reserve a date for your experience. If you would like to receive next day admission to the zoo it is an additional $7/person.

Join us for a walk on the wild side! Our evening adventures take you on a guided tour and includes unique behind-the-scenes experiences with the zoo's nocturnal, night-loving animals. Each month's theme will visit a different area of the zoo.

• Everglades Escapade: Explore the excitement found right here in your own backyard, with exciting encounters with black bears and alligators!

• Amazon Trek: Do you dare venture into the Amazon at night? Be on the lookout for jaguars, crocodiles, bats, and anteaters!

• Eat or Be Eaten: The plains of the savanna are alive at night with lions, Asian elephants, and the curious tapir!

• Asian Odyssey: Clouded leopards, camels, and elephants! What else is there to find out in the wilderness of Asia?

• Gentle Giants: Africa is a big place - and it's home to some really big animals. Keep your eyes open for African elephants, black rhinoceros, pygmy hippopotamus, and the rare okapi!
