Two formidable giants from another era still roam the lands of South America: the giant armadillo and the giant anteater. Giant armadillos dig furiously with their long front claw and giant anteaters stretch out their tongue to grab 30,000 ants every day! Dr. Arnaud Desbiez and his team have dedicated years to the research and conservation of these species. The Giant Armadillo Conservation Program sought to learn more about the species to protect them and the Anteaters and Highway Project searches for ways to prevent anteaters from vehicle collisions. Featured on PBS, National Geographic, and BBC nature, join us as Dr. Arnaud Desbiez shares his journeys and adventures to save these two incredible giants.
