Our award-winning camps combine education with entertainment where your kids will enjoy learning about wildlife, getting an introduction to environmental conservation, and making new friends.
Currently our zoo camp is available for registration and will operate if and how Miami-Dade County guidelines allow. If Miami-Dade County guidelines state camps are not to operate during a specific timeframe, we will have to cancel camp weeks appropriately but will give full refunds to those who purchase canceled weeks of camp. We are restructuring our camp program to ensure a safe environment for your child as that is our number one priority. You can expect to see reduced class sizes, adapted activities to maintain social distancing, health screenings and other measures to ensure camp safety. Details on these measures will be released closer to the start of camp as we wait on Miami-Dade County to release the county guidelines for reopening.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Campers must bring their own lunches with beverages from home. Programs are subject to change.

Wild Shapes and Patterns - Week 1 (June 14-18) & Week 6 (July 19-23)
Stripes on zebras, spots on jaguars, leaves in different shapes and sizes… nature is beautiful with the numerous shapes and patterns it holds. Stop and look around the zoo with us as we explore the beauty of wildlife and nature.
Built to Survive - Week 2 (June 21-25) & Week 7 (July 26-30)
Out in the wild it is survival of the fittest… how fast can you run, can you hide in your habitat, how strong are you, and more. Learn what adaptation animals have to come out on top in the wild!
ZSI: Zoo Scene Investigator - Week 3 (June 28 –July 2) & Week 8 (August 2-6)
Put your detective skills to the test as crime is running amock at the zoo! Everyday a case pops up and we need your knowledge of zoo animals and observational skills to solve. Who ate the sloth bears food? Who stole the birds eggs? Let’s find out!
Nature and Art - Week 4 (July 5-9) & Week 9 (August 9-13)
Flex those artistic hands as we delve into the world of art through nature! Sketching animals, creating animal enrichment, making art with items in nature and more are a part of this art experience. Let’s convey the beauty of nature through art.
Zoo Boss - Week 5 (July 12-16) & Week 10 (August 16-20)
What does it take to run a zoo? From animal welfare to conservation research to security it takes a lot of work to keep this place in tip-top shape. This week we explore everything from zookeeping, nutrition, research, making money, and more.

Bring home all the fun of Camp and support the Zoo's wildlife enrichment by adopting an animal! Each week will feature a different animal based on the week's activities. Discounted package includes plush animal, certificate of adoption, fact sheet, and animal photo by Ron Magill that will be sent home with your child at the end of the day.
An immersive, career exploration camp, where kids will delve into various fields at Zoo Miami! Everyone knows about zookeepers but what about marketing and conservationl research? There are so many different parts of the zoo that make it an educational and conservation organization. In this camp kids will get hands-on in conservation and research, animal behavior, nutrition, graphics, and more! During camp they will get various behind-the-scenes experiences and talk to various zoo professionals. Join us for this fun journey!
