Our award-winning camps combine education with entertainment where your kids will enjoy learning about wildlife, getting an introduction to environmental conservation, and making new friends. For the second year in a row Zoo Miami Camp has been recognized as the best in South Florida!
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Morning and afternoon snacks provided. Campers must bring their own lunches with beverages from home. Programs are subject to change.

October 26 - Animal Communication
Animals chatter, smell and use many other ways to communicate. From lions roaring to siamangs howling the zoo is a noisy place. Let’s find out what all the noise is about!
November 6 - Built to Survive
Ever wonder how a camel can walk on the hot desert floor? Or why the fennec fox has such large ears? Campers will explore amazing adaptations and how they help them survive.
November 12 - Animal Chefs
Want to know what it takes to feed all 3,000 animals in the zoo? Campers will learn about providing animals with a healthy diet enjoying fun activities and games along the way.
January 18 - You Otter Know
Experience the world of otters! How their families are like ours and how are they different? Let’s dive in!
January 21 - Ending Extinction
How do we stop extinction? Campers will have an in-depth adventure, learning what we can do to make extinction a thing of the past!
February 18 - Animal Care Here and There
Have you ever wondered what animals do to keep themselves healthy in the wild? At the zoo, animals have veterinarians and nutritionists. What about in the wild? Let’s find out!
April 19 - Lights, Camera, Action!
Have you wanted to be Ron Magill? Campers will go around the zoo on a fact finding mission learning what it’s like to be a zoo ambassador for the day!
May 27 - Zooperheros
Ever wanted to jump like a Kangaroo or run like the cheetah? Let’s put your skills to the test! What’s your zooper strength?

We are now offering a packed lunch provided by Zoo Miami's Taste of the Wild catering service! Meal Plan includes a main dish, two sides, and a drink.
Bring home all the fun of Camp and support the Zoo's wildlife enrichment by adopting an animal! Each day will feature a different animal based on the week's activities. Discounted package includes plush animal, certificate of adoption, fact sheet, and animal photo by Ron Magill that will be sent home with your child at the end of the day.

Week 1 (Dec 26-28) - Winter Wonderland
Have you ever wondered how animals get through winter? What do they do or have to stay warm? Where do they sleep? So many questions! Ready, set, explore!
Week 2 (Dec 31, Jan 2-4) - Blazing Sun vs. Arctic Wind
Some animals do great with heat, some love the cold. Do some animals do well in both? What happens when the temperature changes in their environment? Do they adapt or move away? Let’s see!

Week 1 (Jun 11- 15) & 6 (Jul 16-20): Conservation Nation
Discover the world of wildlife conservation as campers learn about the many issues our animal friends face. Find out what we can do at home to help save the planet! Campers will make recycled paper, explore solar energy through hands-on science experiments and have plenty of time face to face with our animal friends!
Week 2 (Jun 18-22) & 7 (Jul 23-27): Wilderness Wonders
Dive into the great outdoors as campers discover all of the natural wonder we have right here in our own backyard! Campers will have plenty of nature play opportunities going on bug hunts, making natural crafts and planting in our native butterfly garden! Meet some of our native animals up-close and make friends while getting lost in the wilderness!
Week 3 (Jun 25-29) & 8 (Jul 30- Aug 3): Home Sweet Habitat
Let’s go on a journey around the world! Take a trip down under in Australia, swing through the trees in the Amazon, and survive a safari in Africa. Campers will learn about the different habitats of our planet and meet the astonishing animals that call these ecosystems home!
Week 4 (Jul 2- 6)* & 9 (Aug 6-10): Zoo Crew
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a veterinarian at a Zoo!? What about a wildlife conservationist or a zookeeper? Learn about the many career choices for anyone that loves animals. Be ready to be put to work as we discover all the effort it takes to run an entire Zoo!

Week 5 (Jul 9-13) & 10 (Aug 13-17): Animal Artists
Let our amazing animals be your muse! Campers will study the many beautiful differences of animals and learn what adaptations help them thrive in their environments. Then put your artistic ability to the test as we explore different art mediums and come up with some creative animal art!
Specialty Camps: Ages 13-15 ONLY
Week 8 (Jul 30- Aug 3): Jr. Zookeepers
Campers will have the opportunity to see what it is like to be a zookeeper as they build enrichment devices for our animals, study animal behavior and practice fieldwork skills as we observe the animals react to the enrichments we make! Campers will also get to meet experts and get close encounters through behind-the-scenes experiences.

March 26 - 30: Wildlife Warriors
Campers will dive into the world of wildlife conservation exploring the many issues our animal friends face. Bloom this spring as we discover what we can do at home to help save the planet! Come face to face with our animals, plant native butterfly plants, do fun hands-on science experiments and much more!
